The hotel has a lovely outdoor garden area.
Unfortunately, my stay was marked by several issues. The dinner service was limited, only available from Monday to Thursday, which forced me to travel for meals. the room had disturbing sounds at night from the floor above and the heating system, making sleep difficult during my two-night stay.

Great brekkie and history vibes in Ypres 🇧🇪
Such a lekker spot, man! The grounds are like a mini museum with all these WW1 relics and the Crater. Brekkie was a real jol! Fresh rolls, cold meats, and loads of pastries. The staff were just so friendly, made me feel right at home!
But the shower head was kinda annoying, no curtain, so water went everywhere, eina!

The location next to historical sites is remarkable, offering an unusual view over the lake in the former battlefield's crater. Staff were welcoming and professional, while the breakfast had a delightful variety, including homemade pastries. noise from a nearby theme park was occasionally noticeable, and the lack of coffee facilities in the room was a downside. Though the outdoor terrace wasn't available during our early season stay, the hotel is well kept and clean, making it comfortable overall.

I had a wonderful time here, especially enjoying a stroll through the beautiful garden and exploring the curated artifacts from the battlefield on site. The outdoor seating area was perfect for unwinding after a long day. Only downside was no coffee facilities in the room, but it didn't ruin my experience at all! ☕

Recommend it for families
The breakfast was a hearty continental spread, really set us up for a day of exploring. We had this lovely dinner in front of the fire in the grand dining room, just perfect vibe after a long day.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but worth it in my book.
